Hypercube is starting this month on behalf of the Swiss Football League (SFL) the project to reform the Swiss football leagues. Currently, both the Super League and the Challenge League consist of ten clubs that all meet four times. Such a setup causes too many dead matches, in which nothing is at stake for one of the two teams. Like previously Bulgaria and Austria, Switzerland is now also looking for a more suitable competition format.
The project has a duration of approximately six months and concerns the Super League and the Challenge League. In these six months, Hypercube maps Swiss football with thorough data analyzes. In consultation with all parties involved, we sit at the drawing board to come up with alternative formats and then calculate the impact of each of these formats on various dimensions such as sports quality, public interest and financial strength.
