2015-2017

THE QUESTION

Three public transport authorities (the provinces of Gelderland, Overijssel and Flevoland) were faced with the challenge of developing a differentiated offer that would maximise the payment options and willingness of groups of travellers, while ideally passenger volumes keep growing and the range kept manageable. They asked Hypercube to support them in this.

HYPERCUBE’S WORK

Hypercube set up a process that involved not only these three public transport authorities, but also the carriers Arriva, Connexxion and Keolis (then Syntus. We brought the parties together via a market scan and a comprehensive scenario study. This involved jointly looking at the impact of various different types of subscriptions on both the revenue for the carriers and also the cost level for passengers.

RESULTS

A joint product and fare house for passengers was introduced on 1 July 2017: Tarievenhuis Oost.
